Store + Incubation Manager, Boston

We’re looking for a special person (or maybe a unicorn of sorts) who is eager to turn retail upside down and reinvent the store experience. At For Now, the only traditional retail rules we play by are our store hours (nights and weekends), other than that, we view the store experience very differently. We believe that stores should be used to build relationships, enhance communities, and help brands grow. As the Store + Incubation Manager you will help us redefine the importance of a storefront and the power it has to fuel the growth of emerging brands.

Your day-to-day: 

  • Understand and effectively communicate the For Now values and each brand’s philosophy to anyone who walks through the door
  • Foster a sense of community that exceeds a positive customer experience 
  • Manage all customer experience related requests (in-store + online) 
  • Optimize back of house capacity
  • Report on weekly and monthly metrics derived from the store, providing qualitative commentary and feedback on ways to improve
  • Ideate and manage in-store events, with a focus on marrying our brands with our community (yes, even during a pandemic!)
  • Ensure the store + windows creatively represent our brands and their stories via visually appealing merchandising efforts  - and change/move/remerchandise based on sales data
  • Hire, train, develop and retain a world-class team of friendly, energetic and knowledgeable in-store staff

Store Lead, Nantucket

We’re looking for a special, island loving, brand lover to take our concept 30 miles out to sea. As the Nantucket Store Lead you will help ensure that our third summer on this special oasis is the best yet. 

Your day-to-day:

  • Manage schedule and performance of all in-store staff

Marketing Manager

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Website
    • “Owning” our website. You will have support in various areas, but managing all the moving parts and making sure we have an unprecedented user experience
    • Responsible for hitting online sales goals
    • Will be working in Shopify a lot -  a love/hate relationship with the platform is a must
    • Always thinking about how the site can be improved and making changes accordingly
      • For example: do images need to be changed, do we need site reviews, do we need a loyalty program, do we need a chatbot, etc.
    • Working closely with other team members (contractors) who also work on the site doing product uploads and product merchandising
    • Making sure weekly marketing promotions are represented on home page and in navigation
    • Writing product descriptions
    • Updating imagery
    • In charge of any sort of promotions/sales and making sure site is updated accordingly
  • Email Marketing
    • Two - three weekly emails which will include creating the layouts and writing the copy to then be edited by co-founder 
    • Segment our audience and build out welcome/triggered flows based on audience
    • Potentially working with designer
  • Social: 
    • Content creation
    • Posting every day (feed, stories, reels) in conjunction with co-founders
    • making sure co-founders are very visible and personalities are coming through
    • Work to build following organically
    • Creating and maintaining a weekly brand announcement flow that followers/customers can learn to expect and be excited about
    • Ideate/execute partnerships with influencers and other brands
      • Launch affiliate tracking program and get influencers on the platform.
  • Monthly/weekly marketing schedule
    • for each week coming up with the "concept" / focus
    • Planning promotions around: new brands + telling their stories and items we have a lot of inventory of
    • Working closely with contractor on what’s in stock and what’s not
  • Influencer program: similar to above, but putting emphasis on the initiative
  • Plan/produce photo shoots (approx 6 per year)
  • Drive traffic to Boston + Nantucket locations
  • Store signage - you can either create yourself or work closely with a designer to tell them what needs to be done.
  • Plan, coordinate, and promote events
