We’re looking for a special person (or maybe a unicorn of sorts) who is eager to turn retail upside down and reinvent the store experience. At For Now, the only traditional retail rules we play by are our store hours (nights and weekends), other than that, we view the store experience very differently. We believe that stores should be used to build relationships, enhance communities, and help brands grow. As the Store + Incubation Manager you will help us redefine the importance of a storefront and the power it has to fuel the growth of emerging brands. 

Your day-to-day: 

  • Understand and effectively communicate For Now values and each brand’s philosophy to anyone who walks through the door
  • Foster a sense of community that exceeds a positive customer experience 
  • Hire, train, develop and retain a world-class team of friendly, energetic and knowledgeable in-store staff
  • Manage schedule and performance of all in-store staff
  • Optimize back of house capacity
  • Report on weekly and monthly metrics derived from the store, providing qualitative commentary and feedback on ways to improve
  • Ideate and manage in-store events, with a focus on marrying our brands with our community (yes, even during a pandemic!)
  • Ensure the store + windows creatively represent our brands and their stories via visually appealing merchandising efforts  - and change/move/remerchandise based on sales data

  • A seasoned people leader with solid skills in hiring, training, scheduling, managing performance, and inspiring teams
  • Innovative, proactive, entrepreneurial, and a team player. An excellent problem solver and communicator
  • Thrives in a changing, fast-paced environment where process is crucial but not sacred

  • Considers yourself an operational guru who can anticipate roadblocks before they appear. 
  • Operate with high emotional intelligence and is an exceptional communicator
  • Drink the entrepreneurial kool aid + have the ability drive progress through ambiguity
  • Have collected 3+ years of retail operations and have taken on managerial duties
  • Are able to work “retail” hours and support the needs of the business, including: nights, weekends, and holidays
  • The ability to multi-task and pivot quickly while working in a fast paced and ever changing environment
